And Aaaction

There has been LOTS of action these past few weeks. I know that many of you feel like an action star in the big chase sceen! and there is no time to pull over & take a much needed break or let your sidekick catch up with you.

Kids have learned how to login to computers & programs. Several of the classes have learned about their gaggle accounts & how to use Google docs. ISIP is up & running. First grade has learned how to copy & paste in a document. The list goes on. The library has seen lots of groups go in & out. The new books are finally circulating.

Speaking of new books the book fair sold over $4,000.00 worth of books & merchandise. Not bad for a recession. Overall the fair was a success. I had several new volunteers that are anxious to help out however they can. I will get you the email addresses of the parent's who have responded so far & perhaps they can help you out. I am in charge of volunteers for PTA , so let me know if you have a need.

This week I am putting my Fall Book Order together. I have a long list of titles, but if you have a curriculum need or know of a book is in eduphoria that we need, just drop me an email & I will try to get it.

Some exciting news... We have an author visit coming up on November on the 17th. Pam Calvert, author of Princess Peepers , the winner of Mesquite's Mockingbird Award& Princess Peepers Picks a Pet. She has also written The Multiplying Meance & The Multiplying Menace Divides. Next week I will send home an order form to purchase books to autograph on the 17th.
More Info. to come.

Finally, I have LOTS of non-fiction books that you might want to add to your classroom library. I weeded them this summer and they are up for grabs until Wednesday afternoon & then they will become an official part of the Recycle Bowl. If you take these books then please be sure to remove or mark through the barcode & shelf label. Go ahead & write your name in them too.

I am using this week to catch up on library chores & order books please let me know how I can assist you in instruction if you need it, Especially you researchers.
