Hats Off To You

I want to say Hats Off To ALL of You for all of your wonderful hard work. It has been a long road getting to this point having the kids ready for the big day of testing whether it's TPRI or TAKS. The endless hours of planning, instruction & reteaching that you have committed to your students is awesome. I love hearing the excitement & pride that you have when you talk about your kids reaching their next level of achievement. There is nothing that matches the look of pride on their faces when they have achieved their success & get to share it with you.
So many students have climbed some rough terrain to reach the summit. I hope that we take ample time to celebrate how far our students have come & enjoy the mountain top for a bit. We still have some mountain to climb with our students, but we are really close to the top. We need to continue that climb for the next few weeks & then we can enjoy the view.

Kindergarten
Last week was excellent with Kindergarten working in the library. We took a look at animals on the farm, as pets & living at the zoo. Check out our work that is displayed outside the library. They are headed to the zoo for their field trip next week & hopefully will get to experience the promethean board next week too.

 Podcasts
First Grades American Leader Podcasts are finally posted for all to hear. It took a little while to get it all worked out, but I finally figured it all out. Their podcasts are linked from the Library's Homepage.
Teachers worked hard to write the scripts & practice the fluency in reading the scripts. I hope that you will take a minute to listen to the podcasts & be suitably impressed. Go to the library website & link to the student blog.

Schedule
I will have the Library open for check out for anyone who wants it on Monday. Just call before you come.  I would like to have First grade into the Library to listen to their podcasts on Monday. The library will be closed Tuesday - Thursday for TAKS testing. Friday I will be working with Kindergarten again. We will vote on Mockingbird Books the week after Taks so be sure that you get them finished up this week. I will read the book that I have saved back next week before we vote.
