Library Books & Blog Cafe

The year is quickly wrapping up! I can't believe that we are almost finished with this one. IT has been a really exciting time with a TON of new things to conquer. We are coming out on top in many ways that others do not measure. The progress of our students & teachers can't be measured just in test scores.

LIBRARY BOOKS
I will come around and collect books as soon as I can, It may not be until Friday. I am off campus on Thursday afternoon. If your student is using a book for a book study or for research go ahead & keep that book or books. All other books need to be collected together & then I will call you to have someone bring them to the library & check them in.

BLOG CAFE
On Tuesday we will be having our first ever BLOG CAFE! This should be a really exciting event.
There will be a menu with a selection of topics for your children to BLOG about. They get to choose! Classes will come during your intervention time. The schedule is listed below.

The way that blog cafe will work is students will come to the Library & be given a MENU of topics to choose to blog about. You will want to read them the questions so they can be deciding which they want to write about. PLEASE show them the blog & demonstrate what they will be doing; Also please talk with them about what is appropriate to blog about. We need to be positive & kind. We are speaking to the world so spelling & capitals are important. We want to make a good impression. chech the links so that you can go to the blog.

You need to divide your class into 2 groups, because I have 10 computers or devices for them to use. I will have sticky notes for them to make notes or spell out words, so they can plan their writing. Then, they will go to the computer & blog their comments. As students finish I will send them back to class so that the next students can come & have their turn.

At the beginning of your time slot please send ten to get started that way others won't be goofing around. You will remain in your classroom with those who are waiting or have finished blogging.

I will have notes to go home with students to tell parents about their blogging.
